Then to the PSYC Canopy. &amp;nbsp;Yoga was delightful. &amp;nbsp;The yogi's are amazing...they are strong and smart...it's amazing to see the changes in just two days! &amp;nbsp;Then off to El Paseo lululemon...did I mention Ralph Lauren...of course there has to be shopping after all we are in a desert oasis. &amp;nbsp;The facilities are great you don't have to leave but the shopping was calling me. &amp;nbsp;xo&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;p.s. &amp;nbsp;Wow High Rollers! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On Thursday I was lucky enough to have breakfast with my mother and my aunt.&amp;nbsp; They are so cute...they are so worried about getting lost and or mugged!&amp;nbsp; I went up town and revisited my past life.&amp;nbsp; I went to Loro Piana and walked Madison avenue.&amp;nbsp; I love that.&amp;nbsp; I walked 5th avenue and went to all my favorite shops...I was in search of shoes...of course typical girl.&amp;nbsp; I always want shoes and to play with makeup!&amp;nbsp; After a long day.&amp;nbsp; I headed back to the hotel to refresh and prepare for dinner at the Mercer.&amp;nbsp; I was in heaven! What a perfect way to end a perfect day! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was in NYC for a family wedding and Friday was the big day. twists, we discovered forward folds, pranayama, yoga nidra. &amp;nbsp;We were able to move through the second pada and the part of the third pada of the yoga sutras. &amp;nbsp;This so amazing. Inversions, Surya Namaskara A,B,C and simple back bends. &amp;nbsp;Did I mentioned we have covered philosophy and anatomy. &amp;nbsp;Wow so much and still more to come. &amp;nbsp;I am so proud of the yogis. &amp;nbsp;They are amazing and there has been incredible transformations in such a short amount of time. &amp;nbsp;I love it. &amp;nbsp;Can't wait to see what the next two weeks will reveal. I was happy to to go to the next venue.&amp;nbsp; I went to a yogi art and asana party in HB and it was so cool!&amp;nbsp; They had lots of veggies and lots of sweets.&amp;nbsp; I didn't have any sweets but I did have some wine.&amp;nbsp; I had a great time and you know I don't feel guilty.&amp;nbsp; I feel informed and clear!&amp;nbsp; This detox is a good one it makes you think about everything that cross your lips.&amp;nbsp; I just want to make good decision about what I eat, how I live my life, and how I treat people and the planet.&amp;nbsp; Peace out xoxo&lt;div type='text'>Yoga and Detox Workshop Day 5</title><content type='html'>Wow I can't believe it's Friday. &amp;nbsp;Today is the last day the yogi's will meet together as a group. &amp;nbsp;On the weekend we are on our own. &amp;nbsp;It was lovely to see everyone and everyone had lost weight! &amp;nbsp;It was nice to hear how this experience had effected everyone. &amp;nbsp;I definitely think doing yoga and a detox with a group is the way to go. &amp;nbsp;This morning we discussed Ayurveda and the doshas. &amp;nbsp;On Monday each yogi was given a test to take to figure out if they were Vata, Pita, or Kapha dominate. &amp;nbsp;On Friday they were given a chart based on Ayruvedic principles of what foods are good for them and what foods are not. &amp;nbsp;I think if you are going to do a detox Ayruvedic principles have to come into play for sure. &amp;nbsp;The yogi's were also given another goodie bag as a treat for coming along with me on this journey. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After I taught them yoga I head over to pilates (30 minutes) then to teach my class in HB. &amp;nbsp;For breakfast I had and omega bar and an apple. &amp;nbsp;I was hungry so everything tasted good. &amp;nbsp;For lunch I really chowed down. &amp;nbsp;I had the bristol sliders which I devoured. &amp;nbsp;I liked it so much I wanted more! &amp;nbsp;I also had part of the bbq salad and the fresh fruit with hemp seed. &amp;nbsp;I went big for lunch. &amp;nbsp;For dinner I had a salad which I added tomatoes too. &amp;nbsp;I wasn't that hungry since I pigged out at lunch. &amp;nbsp;I know that this weekend will be tough because I have a few parties to go and I will be running around. &amp;nbsp;I will do my best to stick with it but if not I will give myself credit for making it thus type='text'>Yoga and Detox Workshop Day 4</title><content type='html'>Thursday and headed for the finish line. &amp;nbsp;Woke up and got ready to go to yoga. &amp;nbsp;I kept wandering why I was so hungry the night before...perhaps because I did my normal Wednesday activities and didn't take into account how the detox would effect that??? &amp;nbsp;I also realized that I didn't have my dessert. &amp;nbsp;I usually have my dessert with tea or hot water and that really satisfies me. &amp;nbsp;I think it was a combo of both. &amp;nbsp;After yoga I had my breakfast which was beauty breakfast plate with fresh melon ensemble. &amp;nbsp;It was just fruit which I added more fruit too. &amp;nbsp;There were peaches in the ensemble but they weren't very ripe so I was glad to add my raspberries and blackberries to it. &amp;nbsp;For lunch I had the greek flat bread and a detox juice from mother's market. &amp;nbsp;I ate most of my food on Wednesday so for dinner I had the remaining salad that I had left over. &amp;nbsp;I had a graduation party to go to so once I &amp;nbsp;got there I had asparagus and corn. &amp;nbsp;Corn and asparagus never tasted so good. &amp;nbsp;While everyone was having cake I broke out my caramel truffles and my chocolate brownie. &amp;nbsp;I am happy to say that I survived the party but the wine looked very good! &amp;nbsp;Oh well only a few more days to go. type='text'>Yoga and Detox Workshop Day 3</title><content type='html'>Ah Wednesday morning. &amp;nbsp;I was looking forward to seeing my fellow yogi's and share our experiences. &amp;nbsp;The beauty of doing a detox with others is that you are all in the same boat and can relate to what everyone is going through. &amp;nbsp;I woke up and taught my yogi's another class I designed for the detox and then hung out for a bit to talk more about how they were feeling. &amp;nbsp;Everyone was having ups and downs but doing well. &amp;nbsp;I had brought my breakfast with me. &amp;nbsp;It was avocado yogurt with blueberries which I added more blueberries to. &amp;nbsp; I quickly ran to the gym to do my shoulder exercises and a bit of cardio followed by an hour of Iyengar yoga. &amp;nbsp;I headed off to pick up my food at 118* and I felt hungry so I was really looking forward to lunch. &amp;nbsp;Headed home and had lunch which was rojo tacos. &amp;nbsp;They were good they had a lot of beets and I enjoyed it. &amp;nbsp;I did my daily duties and came home to eat more. &amp;nbsp;I ate part of the sweet mustard salad with bread and olive tapenade....basically I ate the bread and olive tapenade. &amp;nbsp;I had some left over kale salad so I ate that as well. &amp;nbsp;I was really hungry on Wednesday. &amp;nbsp;Later I did an evening yoga class and headed home for dinner. &amp;nbsp;I was happy to have something waiting for me. &amp;nbsp;Dinner was the trixie tostada which I really loved. &amp;nbsp;I snacked on berries and my left over cacao creme I am hooked on that! &amp;nbsp;I was still hungry but wasn't up for more salad. &amp;nbsp;I couldn't figure out why I was so hungry because I had many of my meals. &amp;nbsp;I realized that I ate part of Thursday's food. type='text'>Yoga and Detox Workshop Day 2</title><content type='html'>I woke up this morning and did a mini pranayama meditation session. &amp;nbsp;The time flew by and my mind felt clear. &amp;nbsp;It's nice to wake up with a clear head. &amp;nbsp;For Breakfast I had buckwheat bowl with almond milk and I added a few blueberries. &amp;nbsp;It tasted like an amazing granola bar. &amp;nbsp;I had hot water and then I had joint relieve yogi tea. &amp;nbsp;I had never tried that tea before and thought now might be a good time. &amp;nbsp;I am looking forward to lunch which will be lemon alfredo pizza on buckwheat bread which I am sure I will add kale salad. &amp;nbsp;I have to say the more you do this kind of detox the more you love greens. &amp;nbsp;There is something to be said about having things that come from and out of the earth. &amp;nbsp;You feel more connected to your surroundings and the planet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had the pizza and loved it and added some kale salad. &amp;nbsp;I took a yoga class and did 108 sun salutations quite the undertaking giving the circumstances. &amp;nbsp;I quickly went home and prepared to teach my class. &amp;nbsp;After class I had the shitake lettuce wraps. &amp;nbsp;It said wraps but it was only one. &amp;nbsp;As the night progressed I felt light headed and then it turned into a headache. &amp;nbsp;I think I did a bit too much and didn't eat enough. &amp;nbsp;Later I had more hot water and had the citrus torte. &amp;nbsp;My headache finally went away. &amp;nbsp;I was looking forward to a good night's sleep and type='text'>Yoga and Detox Workshop Day 1</title><content type='html'>Well &amp;nbsp;it's official the Summer detox has begun. &amp;nbsp;I have to say Monday started a bit rough due to my "moon cycle" but I am surviving. &amp;nbsp;I woke and and taught 6 yogis on their first day of the detox. &amp;nbsp;I had some hot water to start the day taught the yoga class, did pilates, and went over to 118* to pick up my food. &amp;nbsp;I wasn't that hungry which was very shocking to me. &amp;nbsp;I was very happy to see in my bag chocolate. &amp;nbsp;I thought wow God loves me and the timing is perfect. &amp;nbsp;For lunch I had fried avocado mini tostada &amp;nbsp;and has some cacao creme with raspberries, blue berries and black berries ( I added the berries). &amp;nbsp;I have to say my chocolate carving was totally satisfied. &amp;nbsp;I taught my evening class and head home for dinner. &amp;nbsp;I had marinated kale salad and half of an heirloom squash samosa ( vegetable wrap). &amp;nbsp;It was a lot of food and I could not finish it. &amp;nbsp;For dessert I had chocolate go go balls. &amp;nbsp;It was a great first day of Yoga and Detox. &amp;nbsp;Stay tuned xo&lt;div &amp;nbsp;I am doing a yoga immersion at YogaWorks Newport Beach and having a great time. &amp;nbsp;I am so lucky to have job in which I truly love. &amp;nbsp;Each time I do an immersion I am so impressed by the students; it makes me feel compelled to be better yogi, and be a better human being. &amp;nbsp;I am always struck by the compassion and selflessness of the people who choose to spend their weekend with me. &amp;nbsp;Thank you so much for sharing your time, energy, and your practice. &amp;nbsp;I truly believe that by doing yoga we spread peace and I want to do my part every day! OMG it seems like this time the detox was easier. &amp;nbsp; Now that I have done this twice. &amp;nbsp; I realize that this is a lifestyle much like yoga. &amp;nbsp;So today I woke up and had some hot water and really wanted coffee and new only 24 hours to have it. &amp;nbsp;I had so much food leftover that I decided that I was going to warm the remaining food. &amp;nbsp; I wanted to &amp;nbsp;serve it to my boyfriend and I knew I &amp;nbsp;had to trick him. &amp;nbsp; I taught&amp;nbsp;my class in HB then had to go to work for continuing ed in CM. &amp;nbsp;It was a busy hectic day so there was no time for breakfast or lunch. &amp;nbsp;I was really looking forward to dinner. &amp;nbsp;I did my best to channel all the cooking shows I have ever seen and just use the food from 118*. &amp;nbsp;I have to tell you it was great. &amp;nbsp;I made their version of fettuccine Alfredo with sauteed greens and squash. &amp;nbsp;It was so good. &amp;nbsp;I looked in the fridge and noticed I still &amp;nbsp;had a lot food left over. &amp;nbsp;So even though the detox is over on Sunday I will still keep eating the food. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It's all good. &amp;nbsp;Happy Spring. &amp;nbsp;Keep reading and I will keep writing. In any case just another day to go. &amp;nbsp;Stay well and sleep well. &amp;nbsp;I will keep writing you keep reading. &amp;nbsp;Last night when I was walking to my car in the rain I did something to may ankle and it's been a bit tender ever since. &amp;nbsp;I had a hard time sleeping last night but I realize that it was probably all the back bends that I did in class. &amp;nbsp;They are stimulating for sure. &amp;nbsp;I woke up did my pranayama/meditation and I felt a bit rushed but it was still okay. &amp;nbsp;I quickly went to yoga and took my breakfast with me. &amp;nbsp;I arrived late to yoga but had a good class. &amp;nbsp;I made sure to take Viparita Karani. &amp;nbsp; After yoga I met two of my yogis for coffee at Bristol Farms. &amp;nbsp;It's part of my Thursday routine. &amp;nbsp;I walked to the coffee sample bar and poured myself a 3 ounce cup of decaf. &amp;nbsp;I took a sip and was like what the hell. &amp;nbsp;I totally had forgotten that I was on a detox. &amp;nbsp;I thought wow this is success I don't even realize that I am detoxing. &amp;nbsp;I put the coffee down went to my car and got my breakfast "Beauty Breakfast Plate Fresh fruit cup" which I added strawberries too. &amp;nbsp;It was so good. &amp;nbsp;I started talking to my yogis about the detox and they were able to see what I was eating and they are going to do it with me in the summer. &amp;nbsp;So cool! &amp;nbsp;I headed to the gym to treadmill class with Kimball. &amp;nbsp;So keep in mind I am detoxing and my ankle is out of whack but I am still going to do it. &amp;nbsp;After that I steamed thinking it would help my ankle and help my hair as well. &amp;nbsp;After all I got to look good. &amp;nbsp;I ate a green apple it was so good. &amp;nbsp;I love apples. &amp;nbsp;After that headed home for lunch which I ate it was 3:00 so I was hungry. &amp;nbsp;Lunch was stuffed tomatoes with marinated shitake salad. &amp;nbsp;But it wasn't a tomato it was a stuffed red pepper and where was the shitake? &amp;nbsp;Why did they say it was a tomato??? &amp;nbsp;It was still good but I was curious. &amp;nbsp;I taught my class which was packed and came home and ate the left over salad I had had from lunch and the day before. &amp;nbsp;I knew I was going to Lululemon in NB for a party and wanted to be there on a full stomach. &amp;nbsp;I knew that this was probably the night I was going to have wine. &amp;nbsp;I had asked 118* if I could drink wine during this process. &amp;nbsp;They said you could one glass organic wine because this is a lifestyle however they don't recommend it. &amp;nbsp;I decided to have wine based on how much weight I had lost. &amp;nbsp;Once I got there I had water. &amp;nbsp;They ran out of water so I asked for a splash of wine or champagne. &amp;nbsp;I didn't fell bad about it but it didn't taste that great. &amp;nbsp;So keep in mind I still haven't had dinner ( just the lunch) but surprisingly I wasn't hungry. &amp;nbsp;So very strange not to be hungry. &amp;nbsp;Maybe it was because of all of the activity or maybe it was because this has become a part of my lifestyle. &amp;nbsp;I am not worried about eating I am just living. &amp;nbsp;I like this detox. &amp;nbsp;So as I prepare to go to bed I am thinking to myself I am going to have an extra meal on my hands...I should probably give it to someone rather than waste it. &amp;nbsp;I feel good about this detox because I don't feel like a prisoner. &amp;nbsp;If I want to deviate I will so far so good. &amp;nbsp;I am happy...I still have dessert Yummie!! YEAH!&amp;nbsp; I haven't done that since I hurt my shoulders. &amp;nbsp;Slowly I am returning to my practice with mindfulness and patience. &amp;nbsp;From yoga to home for dinner. &amp;nbsp;I had curry soup which I heated up. &amp;nbsp;Please it's raining I'm not having cold soup! &amp;nbsp;As I was eating it I thought this would be good with rice and I'm not a big rice eater unless I am having sushi. &amp;nbsp;Okay so finally dessert I had a little bit of the apple cobbler and a little bit of the smothered banana with raspberry creme, and a little bit of the cacao creme. &amp;nbsp;118* really does have good food but their desserts are beyond amazing. I mixed the salad with the left over salad from Monday and added 4 mini heirloom tomatoes. &amp;nbsp;It was good and so far I was doing good. &amp;nbsp;I felt a bit tired but wasn't sure why but then it passed. &amp;nbsp;It was another pretty spring day so I decided to ride my bike to work. &amp;nbsp;My yoga class was more twisting keeping line with spring cleaning. &amp;nbsp;I rode my bike home as I ate an apple. &amp;nbsp;I came home and wasn't quit hungry but I was craving fish. &amp;nbsp;I guess I know what I will be having next week! &amp;nbsp;Dinner was winter tacos with napa slaw. &amp;nbsp;I have to say this was very big and I couldn't finish it. &amp;nbsp;I nippled on the dessert caramel parfait which I added strawberries to but I wasn't thrilled with it. &amp;nbsp;I decided to have the rest of breakfast with blueberries mixed in. &amp;nbsp;So there you have it. Time to clean house and body. &amp;nbsp;I am starting another week long detox. &amp;nbsp;I believe this go round will be much better. &amp;nbsp;I know what I am getting myself into. &amp;nbsp;Today I have had a banana and spearmint tea and a handful of raw almonds. &amp;nbsp; I realize that I really like coffee. &amp;nbsp;Even though I drink decaf I really like the flavor/taste of it. &amp;nbsp;As I was drinking my tea I thought &amp;nbsp;well it is just one week and time goes by fast. &amp;nbsp;I went to pilates and then happily drove to 118* to pick up my first allotment of food. &amp;nbsp;I was pleasantly surprised to see 3 chocolate dishes. &amp;nbsp;Oh Happy Day this is going to be a good detox! &amp;nbsp;I didn't even make it to my house I opened the chocolate bliss bar and ate it in my car. &amp;nbsp;It was so good! &amp;nbsp;I drove home and surprisingly enough I wasn't that hungry. &amp;nbsp;I kept thinking well I better go to the store and get more veggies and fruit. &amp;nbsp;I came home unloaded my food. &amp;nbsp;Lunch was pesto rolls with marinated kale salad. I had half of it and was full. &amp;nbsp;I checked my email and was craving something sweet. &amp;nbsp;I thought okay I will go to Mother's and get some fruit. &amp;nbsp;I bought strawberries and blueberries. &amp;nbsp;I still wanted more chocolate so I thought raw vegan chocolate balls. &amp;nbsp;I had had them at 118* so it must be okay. &amp;nbsp;I went to Nektar and I indulged in one very small chocolate raw vegan ball. &amp;nbsp;It was great and I had it with spearmint tea. &amp;nbsp;Did I mention this was the same tea I had in the morning? &amp;nbsp;I just kept adding water to it. &amp;nbsp;It makes a difference if you have tea in mug. &amp;nbsp;Ditch the paper cup and go for the mug. &amp;nbsp;As the day went on I started to look at dinner. &amp;nbsp;It was to be a rolled enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. &amp;nbsp;I started to get worried because it was wrapped in an flax seed wrap. &amp;nbsp;It was starting to get soggy. &amp;nbsp;I decided to have part of it since I only had 1/2 of my lunch. &amp;nbsp;After all that &amp;nbsp;I started to get ready to teach my yoga class. &amp;nbsp;Earlier in the day it had poured down rain but now the sky was beautiful and it was a crisp spring day. &amp;nbsp;I decided to ride my bike to yoga and it was delightful. &amp;nbsp;Keeping in line with spring cleaning the class was about twist and getting your insides to move around ( very good for digestion). &amp;nbsp;I road my bike home and still wasn't hungry but thought I want to eat and go to bed early. &amp;nbsp;I started to think how many times I eat when I am not hungry. &amp;nbsp;That is something to think about. &amp;nbsp;Eat when your hungry not just to eat. &amp;nbsp;So more hot water it is. &amp;nbsp;Later in the evening I had the rest of dinner and I still have lunch left over. I guess I can add it to tomorrows meals. &amp;nbsp;Finally dessert chocolate torte with sweet winter berries and of course I added more berries. &amp;nbsp;I love berries. &amp;nbsp;Monday today is a good day. &amp;nbsp;Looking forward to tomorrow and what other Revelations will transpire. &amp;nbsp;I am hoping this 7 day detox will bring me more physical and mental clarity, and provide me with type='text'>Fabulous in February</title><content type='html'>Happy February everyone. &amp;nbsp;This month is filled with love and good stuff. &amp;nbsp;Today I had a lovely tea with yogis and friends and I am looking forward to Love based classes after all Valentine's Day is just around the corner. &amp;nbsp;Stay well and keep reading. &amp;nbsp;On a final note more reflection on the detox.......&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am done with the detox. &amp;nbsp;I would do it again. &amp;nbsp;I think I will do it every January as a way of starting the year off right. &amp;nbsp;I definitely can see the benefits to it. &amp;nbsp;I think I know why celebs do it. &amp;nbsp;You want to shed those last 5 pounds...you want to get into that dress. &amp;nbsp;Now that I am on the other side I can see/feel the difference. &amp;nbsp;I notice everything that I put in my mouth. &amp;nbsp;I am not as hungry as I was before. &amp;nbsp;I really want to eat clean and green. &amp;nbsp;I notice how much crap/pollutants are in our food. &amp;nbsp;It gives me a new perspective as to the saying "you are what you eat" &amp;nbsp;I notice what things make me feel bloated and what things give me a head ache. &amp;nbsp;Take time to inspect what you eat. &amp;nbsp;Your food should serve you and nourish you not hurt or kill you. &amp;nbsp;To my knowledge chocolate doesn't kill you thank type='text'>Day 7 In Detox</title><content type='html'>I can't believe I'm at day 7 in the 7 day detox! &amp;nbsp;It does get easier as each day passes. &amp;nbsp;I woke up this morning not hungry but craving coffee. &amp;nbsp;Throughout this whole process I have really missed coffee and chocolate! &amp;nbsp;I can't wait to have those things again. &amp;nbsp;I woke up this morning had hot water and my breakfast which was lemon zest yogurt. &amp;nbsp;It tasted like the berry parfait but with a little kick which was the lemon zest. &amp;nbsp;I added, yep you guessed it, blueberries to it! &amp;nbsp;I ate part of it taught my yoga class and then finished the rest after I came home. &amp;nbsp;I offered a bit to my dog sable she took a couple of licks and looked at me very annoyingly. &amp;nbsp;All I have left is lunch, dinner, and dessert. &amp;nbsp;Ironically enough I still have part of the apple coffee cake, &amp;nbsp;which I really want to have on Monday with coffee, and the weird berry parfait that I didn't like. &amp;nbsp;Surprisingly enough &amp;nbsp;day 7 went rather smooth. &amp;nbsp;Lunch was 360 degrees crepes. &amp;nbsp;They were very soggy&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;they didn't quite make it. &amp;nbsp;It was veggies and think there was some avocado but not so sure as it was very soggy. &amp;nbsp;So since lunch didn't quite work I went to El Ranchito and had a side salad which was iceberg lettuce and some pico de gado. &amp;nbsp;There were chips and salsa and it was no problem for me to skip them. &amp;nbsp;I thought why pollute my system. &amp;nbsp;Dinner time was approaching and I had to go to a going away dinner party. &amp;nbsp;It was no problem I brought my food which was ca cobb salad with a flax seed cracker ( a bit soft) which I added spinach too. &amp;nbsp;Dinner was smooth. It truly does get better with each passing day. &amp;nbsp;I did good however I did cheat I had white wine at dinner. &amp;nbsp;Other than that I did good. &amp;nbsp;The golden globes were on so perhaps I caught up in the moment. &amp;nbsp;I went to bed and realized I forgot to have dessert (chocolate gernache and strawberries). &amp;nbsp;I get to have a healthy dessert during the week off of type='text'>Day 6 In Detox</title><content type='html'>Saturday day 6 in the detox. &amp;nbsp;Time has gone by slow and fast. &amp;nbsp;This morning I woke up and I wasn't that hungry but &amp;nbsp;I was looking forward to the apple coffee cake. &amp;nbsp;I taught my yoga class came home and had a part of the coffee cake. &amp;nbsp;Later in the day I had lunch sweet alfredo linguine and dark greens salad. &amp;nbsp;I think the sweet alfredo was sliced cucumber and squash but who knows. &amp;nbsp;Dinner is coming as is dessert and I am still doing okay. &amp;nbsp;For dinner I had their version of pizza, red onions, with greens. &amp;nbsp; The onions were so strong I had to break down and cook them on low heat with some spinach and then I added it back to my meal. &amp;nbsp;Note to self if having red onions raw request that those around you eat them as well. &amp;nbsp;The dessert was great. &amp;nbsp;Dessert was a Mandarin torte which was quite lovely. &amp;nbsp;I went to bed with some hot water and mint tea and &amp;nbsp;did not go to bed hungry!!!! &amp;nbsp;Keep in mind that it's the weekend and I'm doing okay. &amp;nbsp;I am quite proud of myself only a few days to go! type='text'>Day 5 In Detox</title><content type='html'>Well I am moving right along. &amp;nbsp;I must say it is getting better. &amp;nbsp;On Friday I woke up and I felt okay. &amp;nbsp;I went to pilates, ate my breakfast blueberry surprise which I added more blueberries to, taught my yoga class and proceeded with my day. &amp;nbsp;I went to Trader Joe's to buy apples and blueberries to get me thru the day. &amp;nbsp;I ate an apple and headed over to 118* to pick up my remaining food. &amp;nbsp;I was excited by I wasn't ravenous. &amp;nbsp;I'm not sure if it was because I was use to the routine or because of the moon cycle. &amp;nbsp;I went home had my lunch which was greek salad and olive bread (not sure what it was but I ate it). &amp;nbsp;I went to my friends house to sew/darn some of my clothes and &amp;nbsp;I had a few pecans and blueberries. &amp;nbsp;Headed back home for dinner which was 5 vegetable root lasagna which I though was just cucumber tomatoes and some sort of squash with spinach. &amp;nbsp;In any case it was okay. &amp;nbsp;I was looking forward to dessert. &amp;nbsp;I headed over to David's house for the blessing of his house. &amp;nbsp;His house smelt so good. &amp;nbsp;He was preparing cheese plates. &amp;nbsp;It was hard but I survived. &amp;nbsp;I nibble on my dessert (berry parfait) which was okay but I was disappointed. &amp;nbsp;It tasted like pureed nuts and A raspberry. &amp;nbsp;Well here I am today on day six and still standing. &amp;nbsp;Looking forward to weighting myself. &amp;nbsp;Stay tuned&lt;div type='text'>Day 4 In Detox</title><content type='html'>I am happy to say that I am adjusting to this new way of life/eating. &amp;nbsp;Today I woke up went to yoga, had my breakfast heirloom samosa in a flax wrap, then off to the gym to run do weights etc, then off to teach my class. &amp;nbsp;I had no time for lunch so instead it was apples on the go until after work was done. &amp;nbsp;I quickly left yoga class and headed home for lunch 6:00pm! &amp;nbsp;Yes can you believe it lunch at 6:00. &amp;nbsp;I guess the hungry pains mixed with the moon cycle is a good combo. &amp;nbsp;Yes I said it detox and moon cycle God must love me because I haven't killed anyone yet. &amp;nbsp;After the late lunch of buddha's bowl with sprouted quinoa ( which was very sparse but whatever it was something) I head to the movies (the kings speech). &amp;nbsp;I came home and was pleasantly surprised because I remembered I have dinner and dessert waiting for me. &amp;nbsp;I liked this dinner it was stuffed tomatoes with walnut pesto and a side mustard salad. &amp;nbsp;It was good. &amp;nbsp;I still have dessert and I'm doing okay. &amp;nbsp;&lt;b&gt;I have lost 4.5 pounds! &amp;nbsp;&lt;/b&gt;That is just crazy. &amp;nbsp; In any case I like the results but the proof will be if it stays off. &amp;nbsp;Looking forward to the next 3 days. &amp;nbsp;Stay well and keep reading!&lt;div type='text'>Day 3 In Detox</title><content type='html'>What can I say it's day three and I am still here. &amp;nbsp;Monday came and went. &amp;nbsp;I went to bed hungry. &amp;nbsp;Tuesday came and went. &amp;nbsp;Tuesday was difficult because dinner; which was foccacia and spinach was so so. &amp;nbsp;I felt like I had a very sad piece of pizza and then my body was like now what. &amp;nbsp;So true to form I ate fresh baby spinach and grape tomatoes. &amp;nbsp;I really tired to make the dessert which was coconut cookies (by the way two little cookies) last by adding blueberries to it. &amp;nbsp;Tuesday was rough and I went to bed hungry again. I am finding it easier during the day to deal with the hunger however at night I feel really ravenous. &amp;nbsp;I hope tonight will be better. &amp;nbsp;I thought I would miss my wine but I really miss my coffee from A Market and chocolates from Chocolate Solider. &amp;nbsp;I have been drinking a lot of hot/warm water however today I treated myself to decaf green tea. &amp;nbsp;I am living it up! &amp;nbsp;So today around 1:00 after a skinny jean workout, and Iyengar yoga I headed to 118 to pick up my food. &amp;nbsp;I walked in and was so happy to be getting more food! &amp;nbsp;Michelle, who is the girl that organizes the pick up of the food, asked me how I was doing. &amp;nbsp;I told her that I am really hunger and wish there was more food. &amp;nbsp;I told her that I was adding spinach, apples, and blueberries to my meals and she said that's fine. &amp;nbsp;She also asked me if I had lost any weight and I was happy to say&lt;b&gt; I lost 1.5 pounds!!!!!! &amp;nbsp; &lt;/b&gt;There must be something to this. &amp;nbsp;There are currently 70 people doing the 118 degree Detox. &amp;nbsp;I picked up my food and it actually looked like I got more food. &amp;nbsp;I had my breakfast (avocado and orange bar) in between skinny jean work out and Iyengar Yoga. &amp;nbsp;I was so happy to come home and have lunch which was swiss chard lettuce wraps...which I added more baby spinach. &amp;nbsp;I am a big girl I got to eat! &amp;nbsp; Maybe their plan is to starve you then reprogram the way your body wants food. &amp;nbsp;I am watching to see how my body looks...sometimes it looks like an Ethiopian child! &amp;nbsp;I am watching to see how my skin and my eyes look. &amp;nbsp;I thought that my skin and eyes would like brighter. &amp;nbsp;I know I have a lot of expectations, but inquiring minds want to know. &amp;nbsp; My friend Inger has recently come across info about how food is processed and the way we process meat. &amp;nbsp;There is something to be said about eating clean. &amp;nbsp;I think she will be making some changes as well as writing our congressmen! I have never done one so it should be interesting. &amp;nbsp;I have made some resolutions and that was one of them. &amp;nbsp;I think it is very important to make resolutions that are realistic. &amp;nbsp;I keep hearing this saying it's a new year and a new you. &amp;nbsp;What if you like the old you then what???? type='text'>November</title><content type='html'>It's November and the 200 TT is winding down. &amp;nbsp;It is the change in season and it feels good. &amp;nbsp;I start to move into feelings of gratitude and joy. &amp;nbsp;I love November. &amp;nbsp;Some things to think about....juicing. &amp;nbsp;November is usually when we over indulge in food and sweets. &amp;nbsp;Treat your body right load up on green juices, green veggie, and of course yoga. &amp;nbsp;Ahimsa....remember the SHOULDER CHRONICLES. &amp;nbsp;Manage your injuries like you manage your life. &amp;nbsp;Finally manage and type='text'>Immersion</title><content type='html'>Day 1 of yoga immersion. &amp;nbsp;What an amazing experience. &amp;nbsp;I am truly blessed to do what I do. &amp;nbsp;I am so very grateful to have had the opportunity to guide the practice of these amazing yogis. &amp;nbsp;I found myself so impressed with everyone in the group. &amp;nbsp;I left the session walking on the clouds. &amp;nbsp;I had the great privilege to meet up with my boyfriend and his friend for a glass of wine and nibbles at Mesa. &amp;nbsp;That's a very cool place by the way. &amp;nbsp;In any case.. glasses of wine nibbles and reflection a great place to be. &amp;nbsp;We walked to my car and I drove them to the valet...where are we? &amp;nbsp;California we can't walk another 100 yards. &amp;nbsp;Oh well I drive off from the valet and turn on the radio...Kenny Loggins! &amp;nbsp;I love him he was a client of mine at Zegna in Beverly Hills and I think he and his wife are cool. &amp;nbsp;Yes I said it I like Kenny Loggins. &amp;nbsp;So I rock out on my ride home only to change the radio station to another Kenny Loggins song. &amp;nbsp;I can't wait to get home and play my signed best of Kenny Loggins cd...can't find it!!! &amp;nbsp;I call my boyfriend and ask do you have any Kenny Loggins on your ipod.....ah no Michelle I don't I had no idea you liked that music. &amp;nbsp;I totally flashed to when I was working at Zegna in Chicago. &amp;nbsp;I put in my signed Kenny Loggins cd and played it at work so happy and joyful. &amp;nbsp;I hear one of my employees say "she ain't nothing but a white girl"...Later that day that same employee came up to me and said "so what's your deal? &amp;nbsp;I said what do your mean? &amp;nbsp;He said really Michelle Kenny Loggins? &amp;nbsp;I said yeah the words are so great and who doesn't want cut loose foot loose". &amp;nbsp;He says to me " tell the truth you ain't nothing but a white girl" &amp;nbsp;to this day I chuckle. &amp;nbsp;I love that the immersion put me on a high and I love that Kenny Loggins kept me there. &amp;nbsp;The next time you hear a Kenny Loggins song really listen to the words you will be pleasantly surprised. and keep your body safe. &amp;nbsp;I have had shoulder trouble for a few years. &amp;nbsp;It started as a low whisper, then a tug, then a shout, then a flat out hey you stop it. &amp;nbsp;Remember why your are practicing. &amp;nbsp;Listen to your body. &amp;nbsp;It always starts as a low whisper. &amp;nbsp;You must listen to that voice. &amp;nbsp;Remember Ahimsa remember RSI remember RICE. California thru new eyes. &amp;nbsp;I really enjoy the interaction with foreigners, probably because my family isn't from this country. &amp;nbsp;Living in Southern California is pretty amazing sometimes I forget that. &amp;nbsp;That being said of course I took her to yoga, the beach and shopping! &amp;nbsp;She had a great time as did I. &amp;nbsp;I think this may be the year for Spain first soccer then tennis, what's next???
